Aaron Spelling

One sign that we've been running this website for too long (other than an unyielding aesthetic firmly entrenched in Web 1.0 — we're proud of that!)? Sometimes we forget who we have profiled.

We were absolutely sure that we had profiled Aaron Spelling! After all, our sweep of Jewish TV creators goes all the way back to the likes of Norman Lear to ends at whoever helmed the most recent Netflix or HBO show. But no, despite Spelling's dominance of campy boob tube for a good four decades (Charlie's Angels! The Love Boat! Dynasty! Beverly Hills, 90210! Melrose Place! Charmed!), he has somehow escaped our scrutiny... until today.

So why did we think we have profiled the obviously Jewish Spelling? (No, not his family's original name: Sperling.) Was it because we profiled the other Spelling, his not-so-talented progeny Tori? We did so back in 2008.
