Adele
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, or just Adele as she's famously known, has graced our airwaves with a voice that could melt glaciers and mend broken hearts. Her music is a staple for anyone going through a breakup, or, frankly, anyone who just enjoys a good cry. One might even call her the patron saint of emotional catharsis.
Born in Tottenham, London, to an English mother and Welsh father, Adele's origins are as British as a cup of tea in a rainstorm. No discernible Jewish lineage to speak of, unless there's a highly secretive branch of the tribe hiding in the Welsh valleys we don't know about.
However, kvel-worthiness is where Adele truly shines. With numerous Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and sales figures that could make a small nation's GDP look paltry, she's certainly brought a lot of nachas to her fans, her record label, and presumably, her mum. Her ability to captivate millions with just her voice is, dare we say, almost miraculous. Almost.
