Born in Kaysersberg, Alsace (then part of Germany), Albert Schweitzer was the son of a Lutheran pastor, and he followed in his father's theological footsteps, eventually earning doctorates in theology, philosophy, and medicine. Not content with mere intellectual pursuits, he also became a renowned organist and scholar of Bach.

After reading a missionary report about the urgent need for medical staff in Africa, Schweitzer, then in his early thirties, decided to become a medical doctor to practice medicine in Lambaréné, Gabon. He established a hospital there and devoted the remainder of his life to humanitarian work, ultimately winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952 for his philosophy of "Reverence for Life."

While his dedication to helping others was undeniable and his achievements globally recognized, there's absolutely no hint of Jewish identity or origin. He was a devout Lutheran, making his "I" and "O" scores a solid zero. His "K" score, however, is quite high, given the widespread admiration for his humanitarian efforts. He may have practiced medicine in a remote part of Africa, but he wasn't exactly a Crypto-Jew. Just a regular old humanitarian. A very good one, mind you.
