Who is the greatest English Jewish footballer ever? With over a century of supposed footballing excellence, we're sure to find a Jew? Or will we have to settle for an eighth of George Cohen or a quarter of David Beckham?

What about Alex Scott? Member of England Football Hall of Fame. Long career with Arsenal, which included multiple titles. Three-time World Cup player (including a third place finish in 2015), runner-up at the European championship, Olympian, massive total of 140 caps...

Unfortunately, we have to disqualify Alex. No, not because she is a woman! Like Cohen, she is only an eighth Jewish. Like Beckham, she wears a cross.

So where does that leave us? Well, if you take an eighth of Scott, an eighth of Cohen, and a quarter of Beckham, you get a half of...
