Ann Coulter

Ann Coulter, the grand dame of conservative commentary, has made a career out of saying things that make polite society clutch its pearls. Her pronouncements are so reliably provocative, one almost wonders if she has a dartboard labeled 'Outrageous Statement of the Day.'

Born in New York City and raised in Connecticut, Coulter's background is as WASPy as a Nantucket summer. There's about as much Jewish blood flowing through her veins as there is subtlety in her political arguments, which is to say, none at all. She's a good old-fashioned Gentile, through and through.

While she's certainly made a name for herself, and undoubtedly brought a certain kind of nachas to her anti-PCファンベース, it's safe to say that the Jewish people won't be claiming her as one of our own. In fact, most of us are probably quite content to keep our distance, lest we accidentally catch a stray soundbite.
