Born Marcus Tullius Cicero, this Roman wasn't just a historical figure; he was the historical figure if you liked long speeches, even longer letters, and dying dramatically for a lost cause. He practically invented Latin prose as we know it, making him the kind of guy who could argue his way out of a wet paper bag, or into one, depending on the political winds.

Cicero's family was well-established in Arpinum, a good old Roman lineage that traced back to some local tribal chieftains. There isn't a single whisper, scroll, or even a suspicious glance in any ancient text suggesting he had even a distant cousin who might have sampled a matzo ball. His religious practices were firmly rooted in Roman polytheism, complete with auguries, divinations, and pontifical duties – all very Jupiter, not so much Jehovah.

While his eloquence and philosophical contributions are undeniable, earning him eternal kvel-worthiness for general intellectual prowess, one would be hard-pressed to find any direct benefit to the tribe. Unless, of course, you count inspiring countless Jewish scholars over millennia with the sheer power of rhetoric, in which case, well, credit where credit is due. But that's a stretch worthy of one of his own perorations. Thus, for any direct connection, we must deliver a verdict as clear as his prose: he is resolutely Not a Jew.
