Corazon Aquino

Born Maria Corazon Sumulong Cojuangco, she was not your typical revolutionary. A housewife thrust into the political arena after the assassination of her husband, Benigno Aquino Jr., she went from grieving widow to presidential candidate faster than you can say 'snap election.' She was the face of the People Power Revolution, proving that sometimes, all it takes is a yellow dress and millions of angry citizens to topple a dictatorship.

Despite being a devout Catholic, Aquino became a symbol of hope and democratic resistance, even if her administration wasn't without its own set of challenges and coup attempts. She was a woman of faith, family, and fierce determination, leading a nation through a tumultuous transition.

While her reign didn't quite usher in a utopia, she did manage to restore a semblance of democracy and constitutionality, proving that even a simple mother can lead a nation out of the wilderness.
