Danny Wolf
Something unprecedented just happened at the NBA draft. No, we're not talking about a white guy from Maine going #1. We guess that's unprecedented too, sure.
We're not talking about the Brooklyn Nets having five first round picks... Well, we kinda are. We're talking about those last two picks, #26 and #27. It should be pretty easy to figure out why.
With the #26 pick, the Nets selected a guard, Ben Saraf. Saraf played for Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany, but hails from... Israel.
With the #27 pick, the Nets selected a center, Danny Wolf. Danny was born in Illinois and played college basketball at the University of Michigan. He also plays internationally, for the Under-20 team of... Israel.
(We're choosing Wolf to headline this profile and hoping that Sharaf proves worthy of his own down the line. The tiebreaker? Wolf transferred out of Yale. That must be some proud Jewish parents?)
Yep! Pretty amazing, actually: Brooklyn drafted back-to-back Jews. Perfect landing spot, no?
