Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin

Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin, born in Cairo to British parents, was less interested in ancient pyramids and more in the tiny, invisible structures of life. A true trailblazer, she spent her career illuminating the molecular world, eventually earning a Nobel Prize for determining the structures of penicillin and vitamin B12. Clearly, her focus was on the building blocks of biology, not synagogues.

Her pioneering work with X-ray crystallography made her a giant in her field, peering into the very essence of existence with a scientific rigor that would make any kvelling parent proud, Jewish or otherwise. She even mapped out insulin, a feat that undoubtedly improved countless lives, though probably none of them were her Jewish relatives, as she didn't have any.

Despite her profound contributions to science and a dedication that spanned decades, there's absolutely no evidence to suggest she ever contemplated a gefilte fish recipe, let alone conversion. She was, by all accounts, a brilliant British Quaker, who probably thought a 'Jew Score' was some kind of arcane mathematics problem she hadn't yet solved. Alas, some mysteries remain.

So, while her achievements certainly bring nachas to humanity as a whole, her connection to anything Jewish is, shall we say, geometrically nonexistent. No secret menorah, no hidden Hebrew texts, just pure, unadulterated scientific genius.
