Dua Lipa burst onto the music scene with a string of hits, quickly establishing herself as a global pop star. Her music, a blend of pop, disco, and R&B, has garnered her numerous awards and a massive following. She's practically everywhere, from fashion spreads to global advertising campaigns, proving that she's not just a singer but a full-blown cultural icon. But is she one of ours?

Despite her undeniable talent and ubiquitous presence, a deep dive into her background reveals no discernible Jewish roots or affiliations. Her family hails from Kosovo and Albania, and she has spoken openly about her heritage, but never once mentioned a Shabbat dinner or a Bar Mitzvah.

While we'd love to claim her, especially given her immense success which would be a fantastic source of kvell, alas, it seems Dua Lipa is not, in fact, a member of the tribe. She simply continues to make fantastic music for everyone to enjoy, regardless of their religious persuasion.
