Born in Salto, Uruguay, Edinson Cavani is a globally recognized football star. He has played for top European clubs like Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United, consistently demonstrating a remarkable ability to put the ball in the back of the net. Unfortunately for our purposes, his spiritual alignment is firmly rooted in Christianity, a fact he has openly discussed.

While his dedication on the field is undeniable, and his knack for scoring crucial goals has certainly brought joy to millions of fans, we must regretfully report a complete absence of any Jewish connection. His family lineage appears to be as Gentile as they come, and there's no hint of a secret Bar Mitzvah or a penchant for matzah ball soup.

Cavani’s professional accolades include multiple league titles and domestic cups across Italy and France, as well as being Uruguay's second-highest all-time goalscorer. He’s a dedicated family man, a passionate horse enthusiast, and by all accounts, a stand-up fellow. He just happens to be a stand-up Gentile fellow.

So, while his athletic prowess might make him a kvel-worthy figure for football fans globally, his I and O scores remain resolutely at zero. It seems even the beautiful game can't always deliver a Jewish superstar where we'd like one.
