Edwin Hubble, the man who peered into the cosmic abyss and proved that the universe was far vaster than previously imagined, spent his life unraveling celestial mysteries. His observational work at Mount Wilson cemented the fact that "spiral nebulae" were, in fact, entire galaxies beyond our own, fundamentally reshaping humanity's understanding of its place in the cosmos. He also deduced that the universe is expanding, a discovery that led to "Hubble's Law" and laid the groundwork for the Big Bang theory. Suffice to say, the guy was a pretty big deal. Literally.

Despite his name conjuring images of a certain orbiting telescope (named after him, naturally), and despite the fact that "Hubble" sounds suspiciously like a word one might yell when trying to catch a taxi in Tel Aviv, Edwin was, alas, not Jewish. His family tree was rooted firmly in England and Scotland, with nary a bubbe nor a zayde in sight. He was raised Presbyterian and later became an agnostic, proving that you don't need ancient traditions to ponder eternal questions.

So, while his contributions to astrophysics are undeniably kvell-worthy—on a galactic scale, no less—they don't, unfortunately, stem from any form of Jewish identity or origin. The universe may be expanding, but Edwin Hubble's Jew Score remains steadfastly zero across the board, save for the monumental "K" he earns for making us all feel just a little bit smaller and a lot more curious.
