While her heritage is firmly rooted in Hong Kong Chinese, not a hint of gefilte fish or a whisper of a menorah has been spotted in her family tree. Unless, of course, she's secretly been a mole in the goyim world, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal her true identity as a long-lost descendant of King David. Unlikely, but one can dream.

Still, her impressive acting chops and undeniable charisma bring a certain nachas to anyone who appreciates good cinema. She's a testament to the fact that you don’t need to be part of the tribe to make us kvell. We’re just happy to enjoy the show, preferably with a nice, large popcorn (kosher, of course).
