Genghis Khan. The very name evokes images of horse-backed warriors, vast steppes, and the swift, brutal conquest that reshaped the 13th century. He was a unifier, yes, but also a destroyer, responsible for the deaths of millions. Certainly not Jewish, unless there's a lost tribe of Mongolia we're unaware of.

His lasting legacy includes not just an empire, but also a remarkable genetic footprint. Studies suggest that a significant percentage of men alive today are direct descendants of Genghis Khan, which means the man got around. A lot. It’s hard to kvell, however, when so much of that legacy is literally paved with the bones of his enemies.

While his methods were undeniably harsh, his administrative innovations, like written script and messenger systems, were surprisingly advanced for his time. He was, in essence, a brutal efficiency expert. One could almost admire his prowess, if not for the widespread devastation that accompanied it.

So, while the "Jew or Not Jew" scale doesn’t quite capture the nuances of a guy who built an empire on horseback, we can confidently say: not a Jew. Unless, of course, there’s a really, REALLY obscure passage in the Talmud about a great conqueror from the East with a penchant for yurts.
