George Washington

George Washington, a figure so iconic he might as well be chiseled into the very bedrock of America, had a rather unremarkable religious upbringing for his time and place. He was an Anglican, later Episcopalian, and while he certainly believed in a benevolent creator (often referring to 'Providence'), his personal faith was more pragmatic than dogmatic. He was a man of his era, and that era, frankly, wasn't big on Jews in positions of power, or really, anywhere prominent outside of a handful of mercantile communities.
