Born to a dairy farmer and his wife in Wisconsin, Georgia O'Keeffe spent her early life firmly rooted in American soil. Her family background was predominantly Dutch and Irish, with no discernible threads leading back to the tribe, despite her famously strong will and artistic vision. We checked, and there isn't even a whisper of a crypto-Jew rumor. It's just… flowers, skulls, and New Mexico landscapes.

O'Keeffe's artistic journey took her from Chicago to New York, eventually settling in the stark beauty of New Mexico, a far cry from the bustling Jewish communities of the East Coast. Her deep connection was to the land and its forms, not to any religious or ethnic identity. While her art was undeniably groundbreaking and left an indelible mark on American modernism, it's safe to say her canvases were devoid of menorahs or matzah balls.

Her achievements, however, are certainly kvell-worthy in a universal sense. She dared to paint what she saw, how she saw it, breaking conventions and inspiring generations. A true original, Georgia O'Keeffe earned her place in the pantheon of great American artists, even if her connection to Judaism is as nonexistent as a straight line in one of her famous curves.
