Haim Saban
Haim Saban, born in Egypt to a Mizrahi Jewish family, made his initial fortune in the music industry, managing and producing acts in France before moving to the United States. He then pivoted to television, most famously bringing the 'Power Rangers' franchise to Western audiences, thus inflicting brightly colored spandex-clad martial arts upon an unsuspecting generation.
Saban's business acumen, however, extends far beyond children's entertainment. He’s been involved in numerous media ventures, including Spanish-language broadcasting, and has amassed a truly staggering amount of wealth. One might say he's less a businessman and more a Midas with a penchant for media properties.
Beyond his financial exploits, Saban is a well-known political donor, particularly to the Democratic Party, and a vocal advocate for Israel. His dedication to Jewish causes is such that it's practically another one of his media empires. He's not just a Jew; he's practically a Jewish institution, albeit one with a very large wallet and a love for morphing teenagers.
