Hassan Minhaj, a name that evokes images of sharp suits and even sharper wit, has carved a niche for himself in the world of political comedy. His tenure on "The Daily Show" and his own "Patriot Act with Hassan Minhaj" showcased a talent for breaking down complex political issues with a healthy dose of humor. He's the kind of guy who makes you laugh and then immediately question your own understanding of global affairs.

Born to Muslim parents from Aligarh, India, Minhaj's background is firmly rooted in the immigrant experience, which he frequently draws upon in his comedy. This provides a rich tapestry of cultural observations, completely devoid of gefilte fish or a strong opinion on gentile bagels.

While his comedic stylings are undeniably incisive, and his ability to host a talk show is beyond reproach, his Jewish bona fides are, to put it mildly, nonexistent. He’s about as Jewish as a ham sandwich, and despite his many talents, kvell-worthiness for the Tribe remains, tragically, low.

So, while Hassan Minhaj might be a superstar in the comedy world, and a powerful voice for a generation, he will not be receiving any unsolicited calls from his bubbe asking why he hasn't called, or if he's met a nice Jewish girl yet.
