Henry Cavill
Henry Cavill, the square-jawed epitome of British handsomeness, has carved out a niche playing characters who are either immensely powerful or ridiculously charming. From his turn as Superman to Geralt of Rivia, he’s cornered the market on brooding, muscular heroes. He even managed to make Napoleon Solo seem cool, which is no small feat.
While his on-screen roles often involve saving the world or battling monsters, Cavill's off-screen life appears to be decidedly less dramatic, though equally dedicated to fitness and general hunk-dom. He's a man who understands the importance of a good physique and, apparently, avoiding sunlight if you're playing a Witcher.
Now, about his potential Jewishness, or lack thereof. Cavill is quite definitively not a member of the tribe. No ancient Hebrew lineage to speak of, no Shabbat dinners, no impromptu bar mitzvah speeches. However, his portrayal of Superman still merits a mention, if only because the character was created by two nice Jewish boys, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. And frankly, we kvell over good art, regardless of the artist's background. Plus, he's just so dreamy.
