Jerry Lee Lewis was many things: a rock and roll pioneer, a wild man of the piano, and a cousin to both Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart. One thing he most decidedly was not, however, was Jewish. Unless, of course, there's a highly obscure and previously unrecorded branch of the Lewis family tree that secretly davened in Ferriday, Louisiana. We're betting against it.

Lewis's life was a whirlwind of music, marrying his 13-year-old cousin, and generally raising hell. While his musical contributions were undeniable, his personal life often overshadowed his talent, leading to scandals that would make most gefilte fish blush.

So, while his songs might have brought a whole lotta shakin' to dance floors, they brought precisely zero nachas to any tribe beyond his immediate, and decidedly gentile, kin. The only 'Jew' connection here is if you consider a questionable life choices and a penchant for drama to be a spiritual lineage. We do not.
