Kiran Bedi
Kiran Bedi, born in Amritsar, India, famously broke barriers by becoming the first female officer in the Indian Police Service in 1972. Her career was marked by tough stances and innovative reforms, earning her the nickname "Crane Bedi" for towing the car of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's staff. Clearly, she wasn't afraid to make a few enemies.
After a distinguished career in law enforcement, Bedi transitioned into social activism, focusing on prison reform and drug abuse prevention. She also ventured into politics, serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, proving that even after retirement, some people just can't sit still.
While her achievements in public service are undeniable and certainly brought nachas to many, her "Jew or Not Jew" score remains firmly in the "Not a Jew" camp. She is a Sikh by birth, and there's no indication of any Jewish identity or origin.
