Konrad Adenauer

Konrad Adenauer, born in Cologne, was a devout Catholic and a prominent figure in the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party. His entire public and private life was steeped in Catholic tradition, making any hint of Jewish identity about as likely as finding a synagogue in the Vatican's private chapel.

Lineage-wise, Adenauer's family tree was as German as sauerkraut and lederhosen. There are no known traces of Jewish ancestry, which, given his staunchly Christian background and the historical context, isn't exactly a shocker.
