Born in England to a Jamaican mother and a British father, Malcolm Gladwell is, by all accounts, not Jewish. He's a Quaker, in fact, which is about as far from a Jew as you can get while still maintaining a healthy respect for hats and quiet contemplation. So, no ancient lineage to dig up here, no whispered family secrets of a hidden menorah in the attic.

Gladwell rose to prominence as a staff writer for The New Yorker, where he honed his signature style of taking seemingly disparate ideas and weaving them into compelling narratives. His books, like "The Tipping Point" and "Outliers," became massive bestsellers, turning complex sociological concepts into watercooler conversation. He's essentially the guy who made statistics cool, which, let's be honest, is a pretty neat trick.
