Michelle Yeoh
Michelle Yeoh is not Jewish, but she could probably kick a dreidel across a room with pinpoint accuracy, land a perfect aerial flip, and then recite the entire Haggadah backward while balancing a tray of gefilte fish. Her grace, athleticism, and sheer command of the screen are truly something to behold, even if it's not exactly kvell-worthy in a traditional sense.
Born in Ipoh, Malaysia, Yeoh's journey to Hollywood was less about the Borscht Belt and more about ballet, martial arts, and beauty pageants. Imagine a young Michelle, meticulously practicing her pliés, utterly unaware that one day she'd be saving the multiverse and winning an Oscar, all without once uttering a Yiddish word.
While her roles haven't exactly leaned into any latent Jewish identity (see: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Tomorrow Never Dies, Crazy Rich Asians), her universal appeal and undeniable talent have made her a global icon. One might even call her achievements... well, not necessarily 'kvely,' but definitely 'impressive AF.' So, while she's not one of ours, we can still appreciate the sheer force of nature that is Michelle Yeoh.
