Born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, this Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun founded the Missionaries of Charity, an organization that grew to over 4,500 sisters operating 610 missions in 120 countries. She was, to put it mildly, a very busy woman.

Despite her widespread acclaim and eventual sainthood, Mother Teresa was not without her detractors. Critics pointed to the abysmal medical standards in her hospices, her dubious relationships with dictators, and her staunch opposition to contraception and abortion, even for rape victims. One might say, in certain circles, she was less of a saint and more of a… well, a complicated figure.

Her "Jew or Not Jew" score indicates a complete absence of Jewish identity or origin, which should surprise exactly no one. As for Kvell-worthiness, while her dedication to the poor is undeniable, the caveats surrounding her work are significant enough to prevent a higher score. A tiny kvell for the effort, perhaps, but a kvetch for the execution.
