Oskar Schindler was, by all accounts, a man of questionable character before the war. A bon vivant, a philanderer, and a card-carrying Nazi Party member, he was hardly the picture of a righteous gentile. Yet, when confronted with the horrific realities of the Holocaust, something in him shifted, proving that even a broken clock is right twice a day... or, in this case, saves over a thousand lives.

Initially drawn to wartime Krakow for the entrepreneurial opportunities presented by the German occupation, Schindler quickly established an enamelware factory. His motivation was profit, and his workforce was, conveniently, Jewish. However, as the Nazi atrocities escalated, Schindler began to actively protect his "Schindlerjuden," bribing officials, falsifying records, and stretching the truth further than a politician\
