Richard Branson
Richard Branson. The man, the myth, the perpetual smile, and the slightly unkempt hair. Clearly not Jewish, Branson has, however, managed to make a fortune in nearly every industry imaginable, from music to airlines to space tourism. One might even say he's cornered the market on industries that primarily benefit from people having disposable income and a sense of adventure.
His business ventures often begin with a dash of audacity and end with a lot of publicity. While his approach to branding seems to be "put a Virgin logo on it," it's hard to argue with a man who's successfully launched everything from Virgin Records to Virgin Galactic. He's even tried to circumnavigate the globe in a hot air balloon, which, while not Jewish in the slightest, certainly speaks to a chutzpah that some might find… admirable.
So, while Branson isn't breaking matzo or spinning dreidels, his relentless entrepreneurial spirit does earn him a microscopic kvell-worthiness point. After all, building an empire from a mail-order record company takes a certain je ne sais quoi, or perhaps, a lot of very good lawyers.
