We've done a lot of these over the last two decades (this is #3754, if one wants to be exact), and you know? Most of them are pretty great, if we can say so ourselves. (We just did.)

Most, but not all. Oh, we like to be honest with you, dear reader, but some (a minuscule number) of our profiles are just so-so. (No, not bad, don't be ridiculous! So-so.) Such is the profile #1192, written all the way back in 2011, of someone named Kelly Kelly. That entire profile is a list of seven people whose first name is equal to their last. It ends with Jewish professional wrestler Kelly Kelly, whose real name is not even Kelly Kelly! It's Barbara Blank.

So why do we not like it? Sure, it doesn't follow our usual formula, but we often stray from the path. That's part of the fun! Maybe because it's so... incomplete?

The profile lists Thomas Thomas, who we called a boxing champion. But did you know there are many other semi-famous Thomas Thomases, including an abolitionist, a composer, a singer, an artist, a surgeon, a footballer, and a bunch of politicians? And that's just the goys: in 2017, we profiled an actual Jew with matching names, businessman Abraham Abraham (#2328). And here is another Jewish businessman who fits the pattern: Samuel Samuel, who, together with brother Martin, founded the oil company that is now known as Shell!

So what can we do about this? Well, we can go back to the Kelly Kelly profile and rewrite it. Or, we can just plop 2xSamuel here and hope it doesn't annoy us 15 years down the road...
