Born Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, Botticelli’s name evokes the very essence of Florentine Renaissance artistry. Under the generous patronage of the powerful Medici family, he honed his craft, transforming myths and religious narratives into masterpieces that still adorn museum walls and art history textbooks. His work is so iconic, even people who don't know art know "The Birth of Venus."

While his brushstrokes were divine, his lineage was decidedly not. Botticelli was, to put it mildly, Italian. Very, very Italian. His family tree, like his paintings, is filled with Florentine natives, not a single Abrahamic patriarch or matriarch in sight, unless, of course, you count the biblical figures he depicted.

His art, heavily influenced by classical mythology and Christian themes, reflects the prevailing culture of Renaissance Italy. There's no record of him dabbling in Kabbalah, celebrating Passover, or even attending a particularly lively synagogue, which was likely for the best given the era. He stuck to what he knew, which was painting nudes and Madonnas with unparalleled grace.

For his enduring artistic legacy, which still manages to impress without needing any Semitic bona fides, we can give a hearty K of 4. He redefined beauty and narrative, even if he did it all without so much as a hint of gefilte fish.
