Sergey Brin’s journey from Moscow to Mountain View is less a tale of rags to riches and more one of intellectual prowess meeting opportune timing. His family, facing antisemitism in the Soviet Union, emigrated to the United States when he was just six. While he might not be a regular synagogue-goer, the “O” in his Jew Score is as solid as a Google stock price.

After meeting Larry Page at Stanford, the duo cooked up an algorithm that became the backbone of Google. This little search engine went on to become, well, Google. It's hard to argue with the kvell-worthiness of founding one of the world's most influential companies, even if it does occasionally suggest you look up "what did I just eat?" at 3 AM.

Brin's philanthropic efforts are notable, often focusing on science and Parkinson's research, a disease that affects his mother. So, while his Jewish identity might be more subtle than a perfectly optimized search query, his impact on the world is anything but.
