Born a prince in what is now Nepal, Siddhartha Gautama was famously shielded from suffering until his late twenties. Upon encountering old age, sickness, and death, he decided a life of princely leisure wasn't quite cutting it. He then embarked on a spiritual quest that would ultimately lead him to enlightenment under a Bodhi tree, making him, quite literally, The Buddha.

His teachings, focused on the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, offered a way to end suffering and achieve nirvana. These concepts have resonated with billions across millennia, leading to a profound philosophical and religious tradition that continues to shape cultures worldwide. Quite an achievement for someone who started out just wanting to avoid a bad day.

While his profound insights and global influence might make anyone proud, it's safe to say his spiritual journey took a slightly different path than, say, a yeshiva student. No gefilte fish, no Hanukkah gelt, just pure, unadulterated wisdom about the nature of existence.

Thus, despite his undeniable impact on humanity and his supreme K-score, the historical record indicates a distinct lack of Jewish affiliation. He was, to put it mildly, focused on other things.
