Sophie Brahe

Sophie Brahe, hailing from Danish nobility, often gets a footnote as "Tycho Brahe's sister." While Tycho was busy staring at the stars and losing his nose in a duel, Sophie was right there with him, taking meticulous measurements and assisting in his astronomical observations. Apparently, genius ran in the family, but only one got the rockstar treatment.

Beyond just helping her brother, Sophie was a Renaissance woman in her own right, dabbling in chemistry, medicine, and gardening. She managed her own estate, which probably required more astronomical skill than she let on, considering the complexities of feudal accounting. She even corrected some of Tycho's planetary calculations. One can only imagine the sibling rivalry over who had the more accurate ephemerides.

As for her faith, Sophie Brahe was born into a prominent Danish noble family, which at the time meant she was firmly Lutheran, as was the prevailing religion in Denmark. There's absolutely no indication of any Jewish heritage or identification. Her "K" score is a nod to her independent scientific contributions, proving that even in the 16th century, women could be more than just supporting characters in a brother's grand narrative.
