What can we say about Steven Spielberg that hasn't already been said? The man has shaped modern cinema, created iconic blockbusters, and tugged at our heartstrings with some of the most poignant films ever made. And guess what? He's Jewish. Really, really Jewish.

Spielberg's Jewish identity has, at times, been a quiet undercurrent in his work, and at other times, a full-blown tsunami. He gave us "Schindler's List," a powerful and devastating look at the Holocaust, and later co-founded the Shoah Foundation. He even managed to weave overt Jewish themes into "Munich" and "Lincoln", proving that you can take the boy out of Hollywood, but you can't take the mensch out of the director.

He has a knack for telling stories that resonate deeply, whether it's through a terrified shark, a lost alien, or a historical figure grappling with monumental decisions. And while he's certainly not the only Jewish director in Hollywood, he's arguably the most famous, and certainly one of the most prolific when it comes to Jewish themes.

So, yeah, we're kvelling. We're kvelling hard. He's given us so much, and continues to do so, reminding us that even amidst alien invasions and dinosaur breakouts, there's always room for a little bit of "oy vey" in Tinseltown.
