Steven Yeun
Steven Yeun. You know him, you love him, you want him to be Jewish. But alas, he's not. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Yeun's family moved to Michigan when he was a child. He was raised in a Christian household, attending a Presbyterian church.
Yeun's career, however, has been anything but non-denominational. From his breakout role in AMC's "The Walking Dead" to his critically acclaimed performance in "Minari," Yeun has consistently delivered powerful and nuanced portrayals. He even lent his voice to the animated series "Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia," because, you know, versatility.
While his lack of Jewish bona fides might be a disappointment to some, his talent is undeniable. We'll just have to kvell over his impressive filmography, and maybe, just maybe, hope he plays a convincing rabbi in a future project. A man can dream, can't he?
