Theodora, a woman of notoriously low birth (her father was a bear keeper, her mother likely an actress or courtesan), clawed her way to the top of Byzantine society. Her early career involved time on the stage, which in that era, was less 'Tony Award winner' and more 'public spectacle and general disrepute.' It's safe to say she wasn't spending her weekends at synagogue.

After catching the eye of the future Emperor Justinian, she embarked on a remarkable transformation, shedding her past to become a formidable empress. Together, they ruled with an iron fist, crushed rebellions (notably the Nika riots), and even attempted to reconquer the western Roman Empire. She was, by all accounts, exceptionally intelligent and cunning.

While she certainly left her mark on history, particularly through her influence on legal reforms and women's rights (for a 6th-century empress, anyway), there's precisely zero evidence suggesting any connection to Judaism. Her origins are firmly rooted in the Greco-Roman world, and her religious identity was unequivocally Christian, albeit of a nuanced Monophysite bent at times. Thus, her Jew score is rather predictably low.
