Say you want to watch an old movie... let's pick one at random (not really at random), "V.I. Warshawski". Oh? You haven't heard of "V.I. Warshawski"? Kathleen Turner, hanging on to the last vestiges of her stardom, plays a private eye. It's from the early 1990s. (Why do we want to watch "V.I. Warshawski"? We'll get to that.)

Well, you can't! Even if you are subscribed to every single streaming service, even the niche ones, there is no way for you to watch this movie. It's not alone; there are countless titles, some much more relevant and interesting than "V.I. Warshawski" that are simply not available to stream.

Now, we're not longing for the days of the video store. (We are not becoming one of THOSE people.) Theoretically, you could rent or purchase this movie from Amazon today, but, honestly, when one is already subscribed to every single streaming service (we're not, but bear with us), how much more do we need to spend to watch a mostly irrelevant movie from three decades ago?

So why do we want to watch "V.I. Warshawski" in the first place? Well, the movie is based on a series of detective novels, where the titular character, Victoria Iphigenia Warshawski, is Jewish. (Apparently, it leads to confusion due to her Polish last name.) We are curious if that translated to the screen.

Well, we're not watching "V.I. Warshawski"... Considering how it tanked Turner's career, probably for the best.
