Will Smith
Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Will Smith started his career as a rapper, achieving success as The Fresh Prince before transitioning to acting. His charisma and talent quickly made him one of Hollywood's most bankable stars, leading to a string of box office hits and numerous accolades.
While he might play an alien fighter or a genie, Smith's background is decidedly terrestrial and, well, not Jewish. His upbringing was Baptist, and he has often spoken about his spiritual journey, which has included exploring various faiths and philosophies, none of which appear to involve davening.
Despite the lack of Jewish identity or origin, there's something kvell-worthy about his sheer, undeniable star power. He's the kind of guy who can make even utterly ridiculous premises seem plausible just by being in them. So, for sheer entertainment value and for proving that even a non-Jew can generate significant nachas (if not for us, then certainly for his bank account), we award a respectable K-score.
And yes, we acknowledge the slap. It was quite a moment. Let's move on.
