Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne Johnson, forever known as "The Rock," has absolutely zero Jewish bona fides. Unless, of course, you count his uncanny ability to make millions and millions of dollars, which, let's face it, is a skill many a Jewish mother would kvell over.
His lineage traces back to Samoan and Black Nova Scotian roots, a delightful blend that has produced an undeniable charisma and a physique seemingly sculpted by the gods (or at least by a very dedicated gym membership). No ancient rabbis or Talmudic scholars in that family tree, much to the chagrin of anyone hoping for a surprise "Jew" verdict.
However, can we appreciate his work ethic? The man is relentlessly positive, always hustling, and has built an entertainment empire. While he might not be opening a yeshiva anytime soon, his dedication to craft and family values does elicit a certain universal respect. It's just not Jewish respect, per se.
