Georges St-Pierre
Georges St-Pierre, known universally as GSP, emerged from Saint-Isidore, Quebec, to become a global phenomenon in the brutal world of mixed martial arts. With a combination of elite wrestling, striking, and jiu-jitsu, he practically rewrote the book on how to be an unbeatable champion. It's almost unfair to the other guys; imagine being so good that opponents literally have nightmares about you. Many of them claimed he wasn't human, but we suspect that's just what they told themselves to cope with the utter thrashing.
Unfortunately, despite his undeniable superhuman abilities in the octagon, GSP's heritage doesn't lean towards the chosen people. His French-Canadian roots are as strong as his takedown defense, leaving no room for even a whisper of a crypto-Jew conspiracy.
Still, his achievements are so immense, his dominance so absolute, that even without the tribal affiliation, we can't help but kvell. To achieve such sustained excellence in a sport where one wrong move can end it all is truly remarkable. He fought, he conquered, he retired a legend, leaving behind a legacy that future generations of fighters can only dream of matching. For that, we award the maximum Kvell score.
