Jessica Ennis-Hill, DBE, is a retired British track and field athlete specializing in multi-event competitions and hurdles. Known for her incredible athleticism and charming demeanor, she became a household name after winning gold at the 2012 London Olympics in the heptathlon, cementing her place as one of the UK's most beloved sporting figures.

Born in Sheffield, England, to a Jamaican father and an English mother, Jessica’s heritage is a vibrant mix, but one that, regrettably for our purposes, does not appear to include any strong ties to the Tribe. Despite the collective kvelled efforts of a nation, we found no indication of Jewish identity, practice, or community involvement.

Her achievements are undeniable: Olympic gold, three World Championship titles, and a European title. She has brought immense nachas to Great Britain and fans worldwide, proving that you don't need to be Jewish to be absolutely fantastic. However, the kvel she generates, while significant, is for universal human accomplishment rather than specifically Jewish pride.

While her incredible dedication and success are certainly something to admire, and we'd love to claim her, the evidence is simply not there. We're fairly certain she's never been to a shul, unless perhaps it was to admire the architecture.
